As promised, here are some pictures of the Falken Tire Porsche RSR in action at the Long Beach Grand Prix this past April. The Porsche runs in the GT2 class of the American Le Mans…it had a great start in Long Beach with a chance of getting on podium but due to some mechanical issues, the car had to retire early. The next race will be in Altanta for the Petit Le Mans, 10 hours of racing!!!!
Here are some photos from the Long Beach race.
And the always lovely Falken models, Eri Moriyama and MJ Castillo.
I took this photo during a Formula Drift event in Atlanta and while I was going through the images, I found this. Right away, it looked like these two were going to go at it. On the left, that’s Daijiro Yoshihara, one of Falken’s drift car drivers. On the right, that’s Tyler McQuarrie, another Falken drift car driver. Although good friends, I thought I’d see if I can stir up a little teammate rivalry!!
Wow…it’s been forever since my last post!! I’ve been super busy and haven’t had a chance to post anything until now…but even now, I can only post a few things. Some of you may know, although I do freelance work on the side, I do have a full time job with Falken Tire as their full time photographer. A good portion of my job is to shoot various cars (street or track, hence all the car photos from my previous blogs) for ads, web, collateral, etc. Below are some samples of our 2009 magazine print ads. All the ads are submitted into various car magazines like Super Street, Motor Trend, Car & Driver, and Racer Magazine. So here’s a snap shot of how some of my photos are used.
with the 2008 american le mans season long gone, falken is preparring for the upcoming 2009 season. as our team prepares for an exciting new season with our brand new porsche rsr gt2 class race car, i took the time to remember last year’s season with some photos from various alms events.
in 2008, falken teamed up with black swan racing and their ford gt gt2 class race car. although we were only the tire sponsor, there was an agreement that the car would be in full falken tire motorsports livery with the traditional teal and blue scallop theme. the car stood out from the rest of the cars in the field and attracted a lot of new attention. for one, no one really knew who falken was and second, the ford gt was new to the american le mans series with only one other ford racing in the series. below are some images of the car…it was a pretty bad ass car.
below is a shot i took in las vegas of our new porsche rsr car. although this is not the same car we’ll be using for the 2009 season, it’s practically the same car so i thought i’d give you guys a sneak preview of what it looks like, if you haven’t seen it already. i’ll have some new photos of the new car posted soon.
